SUMMARY

In today's text, Paul the Apostle presents the standard of the saints as Christ's body with his own example. It is to fill up the thing which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in his flesh. This is because of the homogeneity that flows between Christ, the head of the church, and his members. In other words, there is an invisible order in the church, which is the body of Christ, which forms a pattern called "the afflictions of Christ", so no matter what part of the pattern is separately looked into, each one shows Christ's afflictions. 사도 바울은 오늘 본문에서 자신의 사례를 통해 그리스도의 몸으로서의 성도의 표준을 제시한다. 그것은 그리스도의 남은 고난을 자신의 육체에 채우는 것이다. 이것은 교회의 머리이신 그리스도와 그분의 지체 사이에 흐르는 동질성 때문이다. 이것을 달리 말하면, 그리스도의 몸인 교회에는 드러나지 않는 질서가 작용하고 있는데 이 질서는 ‘그리스도의 고난’이라는 이름의 패턴을 이루고 있어서 그 패턴을 구성하는 어떤 부분을 따로 떼어내어 들여다보더라도 그 하나하나는 그리스도의 고난을 보여준다고 하는 것이다.

1 Corinthians 12:27 defines the saints as "you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." The members of the body cannot be individual or independent, separated from the head due to their nature. They are just the parts that make up the body, all connected to Christ, the their head, under the direction of the head, and under the control of the head. God' will is to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ(Ephesians 1:10)." 고린도전서 12장27절은 성도에 대하여 “너희는 그리스도의 몸이요 지체의 각 부분”이라고 규정한다. 몸의 지체는 그 속성상 머리와 분리된 채 개별적이거나 독자적일 수 없다. 그것들은 다만 그리스도의 몸을 구성하는 각각의 부분들로서 하나같이 그들의 머리이신 그리스도에게 연결되어있고 머리의 지시를 받으며 머리의 통제 아래 있다. 하나님의 뜻은 “하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이 다 그리스도 안에서 통일되는 것이다(엡1:10).”

God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be(1 Corinthians 12:18). The fact that the saints lose their own individuality and just function as members of Christ, such as Christ's hand, Christ's nose, and Christ's feet, means that they have already encountered their own death in the death of Jesus. This is why they may not consider themselves to be real. 하나님은 그 원하시는 대로 지체를 각각 그리스도의 몸에 두셨다(고전12:18). 성도가 각자의 개별성을 상실하고 다만 그리스도의 손, 그리스도의 코, 그리스도의 발과 같은 그리스도의 지체로서 기능한다는 것은 그들은 예수님의 죽음 속에서 자신의 종말을 이미 맞닥뜨렸다는 의미다. 이 때문에 그들은 현재의 자신을 실체로 여기지 않을 수 있는 것이다.

Furthermore, they match their identity to the state of the beginning, "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters(Gen. 1:2)." In other words, they can surrender themselves to 'the operation of the Spirit of God' while recognizing themselves as 'nothingness', formlessness, emptiness, and darkness. 더 나아가 그들은 “땅이 혼돈하고 공허하며 흑암이 깊음 위에 있고 하나님의 신은 수면에 운행하셨다(창1:2)”는 태초의 상태에 자신의 정체성을 일치시키게 된다. 달리 말하자면 그들은 자신들을 ‘없음’ 곧 태초의 공허, 혼돈, 흑암으로 인식하는 가운데 ‘하나님의 신의 운행하심’에 자신을 내어맡길 수 있는 것이다.

What is revealed only when the place of human "being" is removed is the covenant between the Father and the Son before the creation of the world, and the afflictions of the Son entailed in that covenant, that is, his blood shed on cross. In other words, this is the reality of creation recognized by the saints. : "God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross(Col. 1:19-20). 인간의 ‘있음’의 자리가 걷어내어질 때 비로소 드러나는 것이 세상을 창조하기 전에 있었던 아버지와 아들 사이의 언약이며 그리고 그 언약 안에 있는 수반되어있는 아들의 고난, 즉 ‘그의 십자가의 피’이다. 즉 성도들에게 인식되는 창조의 실상은 이것이다. : “아버지께서는 모든 충만으로 예수 안에 거하게 하시고 그의 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루사 만물 곧 땅에 있는 것들이나 하늘에 있는 것들을 그로 말미암아 자기와 화목케 되기를 기뻐하셨다(골1:19-20)”.

Therefore, all things were created to testify Jesus' blood shed on the cross and are involved in the afflictions of Christ in some way, moving in the direction of causing the suffering of Christ. This is the consistency of God's dispensation of all things. The saints are those who are seized by the consistency of God who applies the afflictions of Christ to them. 따라서 만물은 예수님의 십자가의 피를 증거 하기 위하여 창조되었고 그리스도의 고난을 유발하는 방향으로 움직이며 어떤 식으로든 그리스도의 고난에 연루되어 있다. 이것이 만물에 대한 하나님의 경륜의 일관성이다. 성도란 그리스도의 고난을 그들에게 적용시키시는 하나님의 일관성에 장악된 자들이다.

It has been known to the saints that they were chosen by God to function not only as sinners causing the afflictions of Christ, but also as members of Jesus who would fill up the thing which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in their fleshes. They have been summoned to fulfill the word of God, not by their own will, but unilaterally by the Holy Spirit. Because they are not their own ; they were bought at a price.(1 Corinthians 6:19-20). 성도들에게는 자신들이 그리스도의 고난을 유발하는 죄인으로서 뿐 아니라 그리스도의 남은 고난을 자신들의 육체에 채우게 되는 예수님의 지체로서의 기능을 하도록 하나님에 의해 택하심을 받았다는 것이 알려졌다. 그들은 자신의 의지에 의해서가 아니라 일방적으로 성령님에 의해서 하나님의 말씀을 이루는 소집되어버렸다. 왜냐하면 그들은 그들 자신의 것이 아니라 값으로 산 것이 되었기 때문이다(고전6:19-20).

In the process, as did David(Ps. 22:1) and the apostle Paul(2 Cor. 11:22-27), they participate in testifying that only the afflictions of Jesus Christ really exists. This is a sign of God's love for the chosen ones, and in itself to join the Lord's salvation. 그 과정 속에서 다윗(시22:1)이 그러했고 사도 바울(고후 11: 22-27)이 그러했듯이 참으로 존재하는 것은 예수 그리스도의 고난뿐임을 증거 하는 일에 참여된다. 이것은 택한 자들에 대한 하나님의 사랑의 표시이며 그 자체가 주님의 구원에 합류되는 것이다.
